AI Restart is a response to the biggest change in digital marketing in recent years. There are always two responses to change: resistance or adaptation. AI Restart brought together people who want to adapt and make use of this technological progress. So what did the conference offer?
The wolves are coming. They will change all our jobs
The first and possibly the best talk was given by Petr Koubský. The introduction set out the basic principles of AI, machine learning (ML) and large language models (LLMs). If you still don’t know how large language models work, look it up. It takes two minutes, and you’ll find that the principle is really simple; the key is plenty of food and data for these models.
For a basic understanding of AI, this talk was really good. Petr also says, without beating about the bush, that AI will cost the jobs of all his fellow journalists and copywriters who are average and don’t use AI.
At first it will cost you time, and you have to earn that time
Marek Šimkovský said that adopting AI currently increases the workload, but that this investment and effort will certainly pay off in the future.
Marek presented his approach to implementing AI in companies. He recommends setting basic rules for using AI but otherwise giving teams a free hand. In his view, it is important not to ban AI but rather to set rules and let people experiment and play with the technology. Marek also mentioned the difficulties of introducing AI into companies, as people are often afraid of change and have established processes into which they don’t want to bring new elements, because this would slow down their work.
Email marketing as an ideal place for AI
Daniel Nytra presented how companies can use AI to personalise, predict and automate their email campaigns. He showed that AI is becoming an integral part of a wide range of tools, including those we already use in our day-to-day work. His presentation, titled “AI + e-shop + e-mailing”, introduced the adoption of AI in email marketing through PPA (Personalisation, Prediction, Automation). Daniel demonstrated an interesting use case in which ChatGPT identifies the target audience’s problems directly within the tool’s interface.
Focus on what matters and save time
Anna Bohoněk presented her personal arsenal of AI tools that she uses to make her work more efficient. Her favourite tools include ChatGPT plugins, meeting note-taking apps and other integrated tools for easily transferring information. If you are one of those people who frantically take notes during meetings and don’t focus on tuning in to the other person, Anna offers a way to do it differently.
AI plays a key role in sales and marketing. Thanks to tools such as Otter.ai, salespeople can give clients their full attention during meetings while AI takes care of the notes.
It follows that AI makes sales processes more efficient and frees up time for human tasks such as building relationships and developing company culture. If you are looking for ways to use AI in your company, Anna Bohoněk offers great tips and tools. In her presentation on the practical use of ChatGPT and automation in a salesperson’s everyday life, you will find specific advice and guides. It was an inspiring talk about how apps can help with communication with clients and the team, and Anna shared useful tips, and not just for salespeople.
